Emmanuel Lomotey has been training with the reserve side of La Liga side Villareal in a bid to regain full fitness.
The 20-year-old’s arrival at his new club was delayed over visa and work permit issues.
Lomotey, formerly of Dreams FC, excelled last season with Extremadura, but was unable to join the Yellow submarine for pre-season due to paperwork.
He is now training with the reserve side to regain full fitness as coaching staff of the club look forward to get the Ghanaian midfield enforcer into shape before incorporating him into the senior team.
Villareal opened the new league season with a 2-1 home defeat against Real Sociedad and takes on Sevilla on Sunday.
