Ghana Black Queens management head Kudjoe Fianoo admits the team has itself to blame for the 2-1 defeat suffered at the hands of Mali on Tuesday.
The Black Queens looked to secure qualification to the semi finals of the 2018 AWCON following their opening day win over Algeria.
Mali however had other ideas as they scored twice to win the game and to also revive their campaign following their defeat to Cameroon in their group opener.
And Fianoo who has been put in charge to manage the affairs of the Black Queens for the tournament admits Ghana shot itself in the foot.
“We are so disappointed in this result,” he told FootballmadeinGhana.com.
“We thought that we could wrap up our qualification with this game and we have ourselves to blame.
“I think that we did not come to the party.”
Ghana must now win against Cameroon who are favourites to win the tournament on Friday to have any chance of qualification.
