Ghana Government has stopped the process to liquidate the Ghana Football Association.
This comes after FIFA gave Ghana a deadline of 27 August to withdraw the court processes to liquidate the Ghana FA or face suspension. Government met FIFA on August 16 to agree on certain terms and have completed the withdrawal of dissolution of the Association at the High Court.
The withdrawal of the liquidation processes means FIFA can now announce the normalization committee to temporary take charge of Ghana football for some period of time.
The Attorney General is expected to move the motion for discontinuing the liquidation process on August 28, 2018 at the Commercial Division of the Accra High Court.
