2017-2018 Ghana Premier League table toppers Medeama Sporting Club and AshantiGold Sporting Club will engage themselves in a two-legged friendly match.
As we await for the return of competitive club football in the country, the 2017-18 season table toppers will be engaging in a heated friendly encounter, the club has confirmed.
According to the Mauves and Yellows, they have agreed to a friendly game due to lack of competitive matches in the country.
Ghana football has grind to a halt since June 6 after an investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas revealed widespread corruption in the game.
The first leg of the friendly will come off on Sunday, August 19, 2018. AshantiGold will also host the second leg a week later at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
“We have line up a two-legged friendly against @ASHANTIGOLD_SC. First leg at Tarkwa and Aboso Park on Sunday August 19 with return leg in Obuasi a week later” Medeama SC tweeted.
