Former Accra Hearts of Oak and Zamalek FC striker Mohammed Bawa has been speaking with FootballMadeInGhana.com and has described King Faisal FC ownerAlhaji Grusah as a “great man”.
AlhajiGrusah who has declared his intention to contest for the Ghana FA presidency is held in high esteem by the former Zamalek star.
“Grusah is somebody I appreciate a lot. He is a great man. You know he was the one that sent me to Zamalek. He helped me a lot at the time. And Because he spoke Arabic he communicated very well with the Egyptians and made the transfer happen smoothly.” Mohammed Bawa revealed to this website.
“Because it was my first contract abroad I always remember him for that. I think he knows football and has helped a lot of players in Ghana and myself I always thank him for that” Bawa added.
Bawa joined Zamalek from BrongAhafo United in 2003 and upon returning home in 2006 he donned the Phobians colors in a brief stint where he formed part of OtiAkenteng’s unfortunate side that failed to score a single goal in the 2006 CAF Champions League.
