General Manager for Techiman Eleven Wonders, Takyi Arhin expressed dissatisfaction about the trend of bad officiating in the local league.
The astute football administrator stressed that poor officiating is gradually becoming a bane to the progress of the local game and it is about time the right things are done.
“Some referees come into games with their scoreline. There is also betting which is an emerging trend and the GFA should pay attention to it as it is drafgging our league to the mud,”Arhin told Alpha Radio in Kumasi.
“The behavior of some referees at some venues make them fall into the equation. I’ve noticed the powers that be to pay attention to that happenings.”
Arhin however applauded some referees who are doing well in the league and gave an example of their game against Inter Allies at Tema where he admitted they had a fair officiating even though they lost.
“Some of the referees are doing very well. I went to Inter Allies and lost but I congratulated the referee from Koforidua, Timothy Obuobisa. Heapplied the rules of officiating.” he concluded.
