The Ghana FA has called for heightened security in the top-of-the-table clash between Heart of Lions and Dreams FC on Thursday.
The game to be played in Kpando has been earmarked as one of the big games in the Division One League season with just one point separating both sides.
Dreams FC look to preserve their unbeaten run against the chasing Lions who are determined to seize the leadership of Zone 3 before their home fans on Thursday.
With a big crowd expected at the Kpando Stadium, the Ghana FA is already taking steps to ensure adequate security to even include military presence in their bid to snuff out any threats of violence in this game.
“We shall appreciate if you liaise with the home team, Heart of Lions FC and all other stakeholders to provide adequate security including Military persons in their Day 14 match against Dreams FC on Thursday, 18th May, 2017 at the Kpando Sports Stadium,” a letter signed by GFA Deputy Secretary Alex Asante to the Volta Region FA read.
The former Premier League campaigners are the two breakaway clubs looking to pick the solitary promotion ticket in Zone 3.
