The Confederations of African Football have appointed Moroccan referee Redouane Jiyed to handle the first leg of the 2022 World Cup play-off tie involving Ghana and Nigeria later this month.
The Moroccan will be in the thick of affairs when the Black Stars host their West African counterpart at the Cape Coast.
The Black Stars will take on Super Eagles at the Cape Coast stadium on Friday, March 25, 2022 before they head to Abuja four days later for the return encounter.
Jiyed was in charge when Ghana hosted and beat Ethiopia 1-0 in the World Cup qualifications at the same venue in September last year.
The 42-year-old match official took charge of the 3rd place play-off game Burkina Faso and Cameroon at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde at the 2021 AFCON.
