Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko played out a pulsating 0-0 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Super Clash.
The Match Day 7 fixture which was postponed due to Hearts of Oak’s participation in the CAF Inter Club competition finally came off on Sunday.
Both sides created a couple of decent scoring opportunities but were unable to utilize their chances

Hearts of Oak
1. Richard Attah (7 /10)- He was Hearts of Oak savior in the second round. Made same wonderful saves to denied Kotoko on many occasions. Twice denied Lamptey from close range after denying Mfegue on the first half.
2. Abdul Fatawu Mohammed © (5 /10)- Average performance from the skipper. Couldn’t help in the attack. Struggled to deal with the runs of Mfegue. He was defensively ok.
3. Dennis Nkrumah-Korsah ( 7/10) – Justified why the Phobians did everything to sign him. Korsah exhibited a promising performance on the day with his runs on the flanks. Was adjudged the man of the match.
4. Robert Addo Sowah (7 /10) – Did well to keep Etouga quite in the game. Addo combined very well with Alhassan to keep the two Cameroonians attackers quite.
5. Mohammed Alhassan (7 /10)- What a game he had. The experience Alhassan put up a man of the match display on the day. Alhassan acting as the sweeper won all the duel for the Phobians. Made things difficult for Mfegue and Etouga.
6. Abdul-Aziz Nurudeen ( 6/10)- provided the needed shield for the back four. Made a lot of interceptions to stop the visitors attack. Was ever present in the game as the Phobians tried to manage the game.
7. Daniel Afriyie Barnieh (5/10)- Had a good chance to break the deadlock but was denied by Danlad Ibrahim. Caused a lot of problems to the Kotoko defense with his runs in their area. Was withdrawn for Kofi Kordzie.
8. Salim Adams ( 5/10)- Got an early yellow card after hitting the ball on Mfegue. Started the game brightly but faded off as the intensity of the game went up. Was withdrawn for Ansah-Botchway.
9. Kwadwo Obeng jnr (6 /10) – Was denied by the goalposts after he was put through on goal by Daniel Afriyie. Threatened the Kotoko defense with his hold up play. Very good outing.
10. Gladson Awako(5 /10)- Not bad from the experience midfielder. Had his passed right in the game. Didn’t draw back to help the defense.
11. Sulley Muntari (4/10)- Nearly got his name on the score sheet following his bicycle kick effort in the penalty box. His distributions and passes were on point. Got tired and was withdrawn for Isaac Mensah.
SUBS
Isaac Mensah (3 /10)- Didn’t make any impact in the game. Was withdrawn for Enock Asubonteng.
Ansah Botwe(4 /10)- Added a lot of energy in the Hearts midfield. Was very impressive throughout stay in the game.
Kofi Kordzie ( 3/10)- Failee to make any impact in the game
Asante Kotoko
1. Danlad Ibrahim (6/10)
Had good reflexes this afternoon. Stepped up to rescue his side during set piece, and also have the confidence to latch on the ball and to give fine passes. Didn’t make saves because his defense were compact for some of the ball to penetrate.
2. Augustine Agyapong (5/10)
Had good defensive abilities. Marked Gladson Awako so well, and was on attacking duties on few occasions. Was substituted out for Richard Boadu.
3. Ibrahim Imoro (4/10)
Started the game so well, unfortunately he went out due to injury. Patrick Asmah replaces him.
4. Yusif Mubarik (5/10)
Partners Ganiyu very well. On many occasions, he covered the right-back position when Agyapong surges forward. Was good in set piece as well as defended well to help side.
5. Abdul Ganiu ©️ (6/10)
He was the pillar and leader for the porcupines this afternoon. Protected the back for his sides. Gave fine passes as well as stepping up to take free-kick duties too.
6. Mudasiru Salifu (6/10)
Mudasiru did well this afternoon. He was energetic enough to be running and be chasing the ball always. Made few dribbles and gave fine passes.
7. Dickson Afoakwa (5/10)
An attacker who started his game well. Afoakwa really impressed this afternoon especially in the first half. Created few chances on his one just that he wasn’t lucky in his final decision. Was substituted out for Issac Oppong.
8. Sherrif Mohammed (6/10)
Sheriff did the dirty work for team Kotoko this afternoon. He Intercepted many balls he came across, as well as lubricating the midfield for Kotoko. He gave fine passes too.
9. Franck Mbella (6/10)
The striker gave Hearts defense a tough opposition. Despite being in the mist good defense, he kept manoeuvring his way to receive some balls. He wasn’t lucky this afternoon after Richard Attah saved his bicycle kick which happened to be Kotoko’s first chance in the game.
10. Richmond Lamptey (7/10)
He was the star-man in the Asante Kotoko squad. He dribbled, gave fine passes, ran and did many things a player could to help his side win just that he was unlucky to reach the back of the net after he [Lamptey] connected Patrick Asmah’s cross however Richard Attah saved his effort.
11. Georges Mfegue (5/10)
Had more energy to hold onto the ball, and wait for his teammates. He operated from the right side of attack and attacked on few occasions just that he found it difficult to deal with Dennis Korsah many at times
Richard Boadu(4/10)
Came to lubricate the defense for Kotoko as Prosoer Nartey Ogum wanted to defend as the game approached the die embers. Gave some nice passes too.
Issac Oppong (5/10)
Came on for Dickson Afoakwa. Made quite impact in the game. Attacked his foes on few occasions.
Justice Blay (4/10)
Came to increase the defensive duties for Kotoko as Hearts we’re pulling pressure on Kotoko on the die embers
Patrick Asmah (5/10)
Replaced Imoro since first half. Attacked and defended so well too. Took some free kick duties just that he wasn’t lucky.
