George Amoako and Fred Pappoe have been officially fired from their position as members of the Black Stars management committee, following a decision to reconstitute the committee by the Football Association.
The Ghana Football Association announced weeks ago that it will dissolve the management committee to pave way for the reconstitution of a new one.
George Amoako who has been active in his role as the chairman of the said committee since his appointment in 2020 by the led Kurt Okraku’s administration now departs, as he has been fired and replaced.
Mark Addo will take over as the chairman of the committee, while Alhaji Grusah of King Faisal will replace Fred Pappoe.
The changes in the management committee coincides with theĀ constitution of the new technical team, following the sacking of Milovan Rajevac last month.
Borussia Dortmund’s Otto Addo who was part of the former technical team has been named as the head coach of the national team although it remains unclear whether he will operate in a part time capacity.
The former Black Stars player will be supported by George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, with former Brighton manager Chris Hughton serving as the technical advisor.
The 4 man team will oversee Ghana’s crucial encounter against Nigeria in the last playoffs of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
