The National U17 team, the Black Starlets have opened camp at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram ahead of the WAFU Zone B U-17 Africa Cup of Nations which serves as qualifiers for the Africa U-17 Championship.
Fourteen of the players selected for this training camp were picked from the recent KGL U-17 Inter Club Champions League which was held in December last year.
The tournament which run for three weeks saw 12 juvenile teams in Ghana compete for the ultimate.
MAL FC emerged as the champions after beating regional rivals Desidero FC 2-0 in the finals at the Madina AstroTurf.
The maiden edition of tournament which was organized by the KGL Foundation and the McDan Group in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association has been a massive success story.
The number of players which were hand picked by Black Starlets Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin from the inter-club competition is yet another testament to the impact of the revolutionary project.
