Ghana Coach Milovan Rajevac has named his final 28-mam squad for the 2022 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The coach has settled on his final 28 players few days ahead of the competition on January 9.
AS Roma attacker Felix Afena Gyan and Clermont Foot Midfielder Abdul Samed Salis who were part of the provisional list did not make it to the final squad.
Felix Afena Gyan has declined Ghana’s invite and has opted to stay at AS Roma to continue his development at the Italian Serie A side.
Samed Salis on the other hand picked up an injury which which will rule him out of the tournament.
Ghana, four-time AFCON winners, will confront Morroco, Gabon and Comoros in group C and will kick start the tournament with a game against the North African’s in the group opener on Monday, 10 January 2022.
The Black Stars have been camping in Doha for a week now and are scheduled to depart Doha for Yaoundé on Friday, January 7, 2022 to take on the rest of Africa at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
