Aduana Stars head coach Asare Bediako has been left frustrated following his side 2-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko on Saturday.
The Porcupine Warriors secured a historic 2-0 victory over the Fire Boys at the dreaded Nana Agyemang Badu Park to open three point gap on top of the Ghana Premier League table.
The win is Kotoko’s first-ever victory at the ground since Aduana qualified into the Ghanaian top-flight in 2009 under the tutelage of the late Herbert Addo.
A goal each half from Georges Mfegue and Richmond Lamptey propelled the Porcupines to a comfortable win on the day.
Speaking after the game Asare Bediako said, his outfit couldn’t come to the party because his midfielders failed to play according to tactics.
“I am very very sad today because I was not expecting such a result. They [Kotoko] took over the midfield. Honestly, I am disappointed in my players because they didn’t play the way we wanted them to do.
“Everything was in a mess. You see we were forced to make a change as early as possible. Eric Kwakwa couldn’t kick and hold the ball the way we wanted him to do. His tackling was poor and that’s why we changed him.”
” It’s a big blow to us having lost to King Faisal here too. We are supposed to be winning our home games.”
Aduana Stars are occupying the third position with 20 points.
