Ghana Premier League New boys Bibiani Gold Stars will commence their Premier League journey tomorrow when they welcome former Champions Berekum Chelsea to the Dun’s Park.
Gold Stars, who are competing in the Ghana Premier League for the first in the club’s history, were the first team across all three zones of the Division 1 to qualify to the premier league from the Division 1 season last season.
The Golden Boys as they’re affectionately called by their fans will be going all out for victory when they welcome Berekum Chelsea to the Dun’s Park.
The aim according to the Club’s CEO is to stay in the Premier League and they’ll do everything in their power to achieve that.
Chelsea go into the new season without their talisman Stephen Amankona who has joined the Porcupine Warriors and also midfield maestro Ushau Abu who joined Champions Hearts of Oak.
The former GPL Champions, however, still boast of quality players within their ranks to spoil the party from premier league new boys.
Gold Stars competed in the maiden edition of the DOL Super CupĀ and it would have served as enough preparation for the team as they go into the new season.
Kick-off for this one is set at 3pm on Sunday.
