Head coach of Accra Great Olympics, Annor Walker has revealed former club captain, Gladson Awako wants to return to the club few weeks after joining Hearts of Oak.
According to the coach, the midfielder has regretted his decision to join regional rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak and he is seeking to return the wonder club before the start of the season.
The 30-year- old signed a 2-year deal with the Ghana Premier League Champions following an impressive outing for Great Olympics.
Awako has since refused to join his new club citing numerous reason for his absence.
But Speaking to Omy tv on the player, Annor Walker, who transformed the former Berekum Chelsea man after his return to Ghana says the player has regretted his move to Hearts of Oak and wants to return to Great Olympics for next season’s league.
“Honestly am worried for him, because he is my son and I made him who he is today so it is my wish that, management of Great Olympics will return the money and let Awako return to the club.
“He informed me that, he is not happy moving to Hearts and he is not ready to play for Hearts and he wished he is with me and am doing my best to convince management to accept the money and let my former captain return and play for me again.” He told Omy tv.
Awako has previously featured for TP Mazembe, Don Bosco and USL side USL club, Phoenix Risings in 2018.
