In form Ghana defender Richard Baffour is sure that His Egyptian club Ismaily can maintain their second position and grab a CAF Champions League place with four games to go.
Ismaily are second on the Egyptian League Log and are six points behind third-placed Zamalek who are also pushing for a Champions League spot.
Baffour stressed that it has been a wonderful season for Ismaily and they will not relinquish the second position as they seek to play top continental football next season.
“We are working hard to maintain the 2nd position though Zamalek are also on our heels, we have to keep focus and stick to the momentum with four games to go,”Baffour told Graphic Sports
“This has been a wonderful season, and we deserve to play in the CAF Champions League as we have worked tirelessly for it. We cannot lose guard now,”
The towering central defender also pointed out that personally it has been a great campaign for him in his first season as a professional footballer.
“This is my first season outside Ghana but I can say it has been the best in my career, I have played 25 league games for Ismaily this season scoring one goal. I believe I can even do more the coming season,”
Baffour who joined Ismaily from Bechem United last season on a free transfer is gunning for the best defender in the Egyptian Premier League for the 2017/2018 season.
