The Ghana Football Association and UEFA Assist have ended a four day training Workshop for representatives of the 18 Ghana Premier League clubs. The workshop which began on Tuesday, September 7 ended on Friday, September 10, 2021.
The training workshop covered areas such as, Governance, Club modelling, Finance, Income Generation, Match day operations and Venue Management, Marketing and Communications, Event Management and Technical Development.
The UEFA Assist team, led by Eva Pasquier – Head of International Relations at UEFA and the UEFA Assist Programme also included Markus Fritz Schmid, a FIFA/UEFA Coach Educator and a Consultant on Strategic Planning and Technical Development, Kenny MacLeod, a Marketing Consultant who supports Federations to grow their commercial, media, digital marketing and Johannes Wilhelmus Maria, a UEFA Consultant.
Heads of departments and staff of the Marketing, Communications, Competitions, HR, Club Licensing and IT Departments of the GFA and nominees from the 18 Premier League clubs took part in the training programme.
For the administrative part, the Premier League clubs nominated management members from Finance/Administration and Marketing/Communications for the training.
The week long training Programme forms part of the GFAs grand agenda of empowering the Clubs by making them administratively viable and independent in the lead up to the autonomous Ghana Premier League.
