Hearts of Oak legend Mohammed Polo has charged coach Samuel Boadu to aim for the CAF Champions League trophy as the Phobians make a return to the continent’s flagship inter-club tournament.
Polo who had two spells with the Rainbow boys disclosed he was proud of Coach Samuel Boadu’s achievements on the local scene.
Boadu led the Phobians to a first Premier League trophy in over a decade and then rounded off the season with a triumph in the FA Cup securing the Phobians’ first double in over 20 years.
Polo, however, has charged the former Medeama boss to aim higher following his victories on the domestic scene and win the CAF Champions League as well.
“He has to improve beyond winning the league double. It is an opportunity to advance his course.
“He shouldn’t limit himself. He should go in for the ultimate,” Polo said.
Hearts of Oak will return to CAF Champions League for the first time since 2006 and will begin their campaign next month when they face Guinean side CI Kamsar in the preliminary round.
