Al Sadd Head Coach, Xavi Hernandez has heaved praises on new signing Andre Ayew.
Ayew joined the Qatari giants on a two-year deal last month following his departure from Swansea upon the expiration of his contract.
Following his transfer, Ayew has joined up with his teammates in Spain for Al Sadd’s pre-season campaign where the attacker has impressed Head Coach Xavi.
The former Barcelona captain was full of praise of Ayew’s quality and work since his arrival at the team’s training base in Spain.
“We didn’t change many players. We signed Andre Ayew; he’s a very good player, professional and talented,” Xavi said, as reported by his club’s official website.
Ayew has already hit the ground running bagging in the goals as he scored in Al Sadd’s 5-3 pre-season friendly win over Spanish side UE Figueres last Sunday.
Al Sadd are preparing for the defense of the Qatari All-Stars League after winning their 15th title last season.
The Qatari giants will open their Stars League campaign with a home clash with Al Sailiyah on September 12.
