Owner and President of King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Gruzah has denied deciding to form an alliance with Accra Hearts of Oak at Asante Kotoko’s expense.
The well celebrated football administrator sparked controversy last week when he passed comments on radio slating Asante Kotoko for their role played in the near relegation of his club.
An aggrieved Gruzah suggested he was embittered Kotoko did little to help his side in times of difficulty. While sharing his grievances he passed a comment that he would be happy seeing Hearts win the league than Asante Kotoko.
The statement enraged some fans and followers of the club who lashed at Alhaji Gruzah for always aiming missiles at their beloved club.
However, Gruzah has provided clarity on his earlier statement. This time around, the veteran administrator told Peace FM that he doesn’t care about whatever happens between Hearts and Kotoko.
“Didn’t Hearts beat us when we met them in the league. What alliance do we have with them?,” Gruzah quizzed.
“The reason I spoke in such a manner earlier was that Kotoko claim they’ve given us 1 point. They didn’t give us anything. We were near beating them until that mistake by Eric Donkor led to their equalizer.
“I don’t care about Kotoko and Hearts. We have survived relegation and we are in the league.
“They (Kotoko) also failed to win the league and they’ve been eliminated from the FA Cup. They should give me a break,” he concluded.
