Ghanaian defender Jonathan Mensah scored his first goal of the 2021 MLS season to help Columbus Crew to win a 1-0 win at Atalanta United. 

Mensah scored the only goal of the game in the second half to hand his side the maximum points.

The defender headed home a flick by Hairston following a corner kick by Zelarayan in the 65th minute.

It was his first goal for Crew since 27 July 2018 when he scored the opener in the 3-2 away win against New York Red Bull.

Columbus Crew are third on the League standings with 24 points after 15 games.
