The final of this year’s MTN FA Cup will be held at the Cape Coast Stadium in the Central Region of Ghana on August 1.
The is the second time the Central Region will be experiencing the MTN FA cup final after hosting the 2016 edition which saw Bechem United crowned champions after beating Okwahu United.
Different cities have previously hosted the finals of the FA Cup. The likes of Kumasi and Takoradi have previously experienced the atmosphere of hosting the MTN FA Cup final.
The 2017 edition which was the last edition was held at the Tamale stadium which saw the Porcupines defeat their rivals Hearts of Oak t11 win the competition.
Cape Coast Sports Stadium which has a capacity of 15,000 was opened in 2016 when Ghana hosted and win the WAFU Zone B Championship.
It has since been used by the national teams for some of their games.
The likes of Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, Medeama and Berekum Chelsea are still in the competition and will be looking to lift the trophy come August.
