Ghanaian International Christian Atsu has shared hints on where his future lies after leaving Newcastle United.
Atsu is now a free agent after leaving Tyneside this summer. The former FC Porto winger had been on the fringes under Steve Bruce for the entirety of last season and he has been speaking to the Athletic UK about his next possible destination.
Atsu has revealed he has received offers from clubs in England but he says his preference will have to eb a country with warm weather.
“I am weighing up my options,” he says. “I would prefer it to be warm weather, but we’ll see. I’ve loved being in England and I have offers from here but I think I need to move away. I might stay in Europe. I have to decide,” he said.
Christian Atsu is now 29 years old. He has had stints in Portugal with FC Porto and Rio Ave while also playing for Vitesse Arheim (on loan) in the Netherlands.
In a nomadic 4 year spell at Chelsea Atsu spent time at Everton, Bournemouth and Spain all on loan.
