Former Hertha Berlin manager Dieter Hoeneß thinks Kevin-Prince Boateng’s career could have gone better if not for the “nonsense” he dabbled in.
The former Barcelona, AC Milan and Tottenham forward is currently a free agent and is reportedly close to reuniting with his former club Hertha Berlin 14-years after he left the German club.
Hoeneß, who brought Kevin Prince Boateng to Hertha Berlin in 2005 revealed Prince used to be a leader but too many “nonsenses” in his head prevented him from exhibiting those leadership qualities he possessed.
“Kevin used to be a leader, but at that time he still had too much nonsense in his head, so his leadership went in a different direction”
“He was the ‘Leader of the Gang’ of the youngsters. With his experience today, he would certainly have done a lot differently.”
“But now he is very clear in his ideas, is only focused on football, and very professional. That would be a top commitment for Hertha and the right step for me” he said.
