Medeama SC head coach Yaw Preko has attributed his side’s defeat to Heart of Oak to hardluck.
The Mauve and Yellow suffered 2-0 loss to Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday evening.
Two goals from Salifu Ibrahim and Benjamin Afutu halted their title ambition with five games to end the League.
Speaking to the media after the Game, Yaw Preko feels his side were just unlucky with the results.
“It was an unlucky game for us. You saw the game. We played really well but unfortunately we just couldn’t take our chances. The head from Abass [Mohammed] which was stopped by the goalkeeper and all that. I can say we were unlucky,” he said in the post match interview
The coach also criticized the performance of the referee insisting he wasn’t up to the task.
Medeama now occupy 4th spot with 46 points and are now 7 points away from leaders Hearts of Oak.
