Black Stars head coach Charles Akonnor has turned his attention to Ghana’s second friendly scheduled for this month against Ivory Coast.
The West African giants lost by a lone goal against Morocco in their first warm up game at the FAR Sportive stadium in Rabat on Tuesday.
Speaking in his post-match presser, Akonnor assured that the technical team will go back to the drawing board to ensure that the team give a better account of themselves against Ivory Coast.
The Black Stars will face the Elephants at the Cape Coast stadium on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
“Today, we will have a meeting to discuss the match. What we did right and what went wrong and we look forward to the Ivory Coast match and going to that game, we have to do video analysis and see how bet we can play and of course outsmart them and win the match. We need to win and that is what we are concerned about” Akonnor told ghanafa.org
The friendlies are part of Ghana’s preparations for the upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifiers in September.
