Ghana and Maccabi Haifa defender David Acquah has reported to the Black meteors Camp ahead of the Japan and south korea friendlies in June
The versatile defender arrived in Ghana on Tuesday and went straight to the camp to prepare for the upcoming games.
Aqcuah shared his view after joining coach Paa Kwesi Fabin and the rest of the squad in camp.
“It feels great to be part of the national team. The whole team is working very hard in camp”.
“The morale and seriousness in camp is very high each and every player is fighting for a position in the team and all the players are working hard towards it.
“The team is really preparing very well to go to Japan to make Ghana proud he insist the blend of the local players and the foreigners have really shape the team and hopefully the entire team will surely make ghana proud.”
David Acquah was expected to be part of the Ghana U-20 team that won gold at the 2020 CAF U-20 AFCON in Mauritania earlier this year, but couldn’t join the squad due to travel restrictions in Israel.
He featured on loan at Hapoel Nof Hagalil and helped them to win their first ever trophy which is the TOTO cup in Isreal.
The defender also scored seven goals this season four in the league and three in the TOTO cup.
The Black meteors failed to qualify to Tokyo Olympics following defeat to South Africa in the Africa U23 championship Tournament.
Ghana will face Japan and South Korea in early June as both countries prepare for the Tokyo Olympic Games soccer tournament.
