Former Ghana youth star Nassam Yakubu has revealed that he had several offers from Ghana Premier League sides which fell through before making the move to Japan.
The striker has since been on the books of Ococias Kyoto AC since January 2019.
“Well as you know, it’s not easy playing in Ghana I had several deals that didn’t go through so I had to grab that opportunity. For me it’s a stepping stone” he said in an exclusive interview with FootballMadeInGhana.
Then when asked if the move to Japan has affected his career, he said
”Actually it hasn’t been easy because you have to adopt to a lot of things to fit in”
The 23 year-old was an integral part of coach Ibrahim Tanko’s U-23 side that eliminated Togo from Olympics Games qualifiers in December 2018.
