Head coach of Great Olympics Annor Walker says his decision to start Mudasiru Manaf from the bench is paying following his winner against Inter Allies.
Mudasiru who was the club leading striker failed to score in any of the first 17 games in the first round.
His lack of scoring forced the coach to drop him to the bench and instead introduce him in the second half.
The decision has since paid off for the club after the bulky striker scored thrice in his last three games as a substitute.
His last was the winner against Inter Allies which saw Olympics close the gap to two points behind the leader.
” In the first round you know he was my top man but seventeen matches without a goal, but he was giving chances to Abbey Ashie and Michael Yeboah to be scoring.
“So this second round I realized no, I have to try him from the bench.
“And I tried from WAFA , it worked for me and it has still worked till now.
“So he has been my super-sub for now.” Annor Walker said.
Mudasiru Manaf has now equal Eleven Wonders striker Prince Okraku as players with three goals as substitutes.
