Attacker Benjamin Tetteh has hailed coach Isaac Opeele Boateng for scouting him and paving the way for his career to reach the height it has reached today.
Tetteh who featured for Dreams FC before moving to Czech Republic to sign for Sparta Prague revealed how the former Asante Kotoko coach played a key role in his career.
Speaking in an interview with Metro TV after returning to Ghana for the off-season break, Benjamin Tetteh opened up on his early days as a footballer.
According to him, former Asante Kotoko coach Isaac Opeele Boateng gave him his first break when he scouted him for the Ghana U-17 team.
“It’s Coach Isaac Opeele Boateng who spotted me recommend me for Ghana U-17 Starlets when I was playing colts juvenile football for King Dogo Babies,” Benjamin Tetteh shared.
The exciting attacker continued, “Isaac Opeele scouted me and he made me who I am today for recommending me to get national U17 call-up and I really admire Coach Opeele.”
Tetteh has since gone on to play for the National U20 and the U23 team scoring some important goals in the process.
The youngster in the just ended 2020/2021 football season spent his time on loan at Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor.
