Ghana President H. E. Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo has promised to give an amount of $5000 to the recently ended U-20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament MVP Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
The president’s promise comes after the gallant Ghana U-20 side visited him at the Flagstaff House to present to him the trophy won at the showpiece in Mauritania.
Coach Abdul Karim Zito’s Black Satellites defeated Uganda 2 nil on Saturday’s final to win the ultimate, a first for Ghana since 2009, and fourth overall.
Among the players who excelled for Ghana is Issahaku Fatawu whose intelligence and overall skill set came to the fore en route to winning the trophy.
As a congratulatory gesture, the President, Nana Akuffo Addo has pledged to gift him an amount of $5000.
