Ghana striker Lawson Bekui netted a superb free kick as his side Al Dhofar moved on top of the Omani Premier League with a 1-0 win over Al Nahda on Wednesday evening.
The former Dreams FC attacker curled in a 25-yard free kick into the net in the 92nd minute as his side leaped-frogged Al Shabab to the top of the table.
Bekui who had tormented the away defenders at the Salalah Youth Complex could not hide his excitement after scoring the winner.
“It was a great game and I am happy our perseverance paid off and I scored that last minute free kick,” Bekui told Footballmadeinghana.com
“I am enjoying the league here and everything is fine. My aim is to score more goals and help my club to win the trophy,”
Bekui has netted a total of 16 goals this season with 11 of them coming in the league.
