Ashanti Gold forward Prince Owusu is staying at the club despite serious interest from Elmina Sharks.
Owusu was one of the exciting players in the Ashanti Gold set up last season putting up a splendid performance as they escaped the drop zone.
The youngster’s three goals plus one assist in the ten games he played caught the eyes of Sharks who were ready to swoop for him but now he will continue his development with the miners.
“For now I am staying at Ashanti Gold ahead of the coming season,” Owusu told footballmadeinghana.com
“Elmina Sharks expressed interest in me but my club wants me to stay so I am preparing for the new season,”
“Training has been good so far and I am looking forward to a great campaign, I hope to do more than what I did last season,”
He is expected to partner Daniel Gozar upfront after the club sold 2016/2017 GPL top scorer Hans Kwoffie to Egyptian side Smouha.
