Ghanaian defender Wahab Ackwei has completed a move to American club Loudoun United on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old joined the Red and Black lads on a one and half year deal with an option of renewal after ending his stint with Richmond Kickers FC.
A statement on the club website read,
“Wahab Ackwei is a Ghanaian defender who made his professional debut in the Ghanaian Division One with Inter Allies FC in 2015. He made 56 appearances for them over the course of three seasons and tallied three goals.
He played his 2018 season with USL team, New York Red Bulls II, where he made seven appearances. After the 2018 season he was signed by USL League One team, the Richmond Kickers, where he made 12 appearances and scored one goal during the 2019 season
Ackwei featured for Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies before leaving the shores of the West African country.
