Ghana’s Acting Head of Mission in Morocco Mrs. Barbara Addo on Wednesday afternoon presented local dishes to the Black Starlets ahead of their second friendly game with the Morocco U17 side.
The affable woman who visited the team on Monday ahead of the first game with Bernard Quantson (Minister/Consular Affairs) and Miftau Sulemana (Counsellor/Economic and Diaspora Affairs) presented balls of Fante kenkey, sardines and some local stew (shitor).
Speaking to the team during the presentation, Mrs. Addo noted the challenges many people go through with food when they travel out of Ghana, hence her gesture.
She added that since the contingent is not used to the food provided in Morocco, it was always going to be challenging for them, especially the players and their handlers.
Mrs. Addo who was in the company of Miftau Sulemana offered to support the team in any way she could during their stay in Rabat.
The Starlets will take on Morocco in the second friendly game on Thursday afternoon and return to Ghana on Saturday.
