Asante Kotoko coach, Steven Polack has expressed his happiness with the squad at his disposal as he prepares the team for the upcoming G-8 tournament by Ghalca.
Kotoko are in the same group with Aduana Stars, Dreams FC and Eleven Wonders.
Polack is being lambasted by some Kotoko fans for signing too many defenders and not concentrating on strengthening attack but the coach has rejected the criticism.
“We’ve lost two experienced defenders and we have brought in one experience defender in Wahab Adams, and one young and promising player from NEA Salamina. In football, players come and go, we’ve to move on and concentrate on what we’ve” Polack told the Kumasi media.
He also disclosed how he’s working hard to improve the attacking department of the team.
“If you are creating a lot of chances, then you are on the right track. We know we had the best defense in the league last season. The attack is where we fell short.
“We are working every day to improve on goal scoring. I don’t care who scores the goal whether, he’s a striker or defender. What I want is to improve the potency of the team” he added.
