Asante Kotoko have issued a statement following the news that 7 of their players and 4 officials have tested positive for Coronavirus ahead of the second leg CAF CL game with Al Hilal today.
The Porcupine Warriors travelled to Sudan with 22 players which means the Reds will only have 15 players available for the game after undergoing the mandatory testing.
The club however suspect Al Hilal officials of foul play and have resolved to contest the results.
The team have made an official complaint to the match commissioner as they believe the COVID results have been tempered.
The Ghana Premier League giants lost the first leg at home by a lone goal and are on the brink of elimination should they fail to beat the Sudanese in their own backyard.
