Asante Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah has revealed the reason why the club failed to maintained talented youngster Mattew Anim Cudjoe after his season-long loan spell in Kumasi.
Cudjoe impressed during his loan spell with the club, but the club failed to to tie him to a permanent deal, the player ended up signing for Legon Cities.
According to the CEO, the Kotoko failed to meet the demands of the player hence the decision to bring Fabio Gama.
“His team and managers were demanding 250 000 USD from as transfer fee and we could not cough up that amount.” Nana Yaw Amponsah revealed on Oyerepa FM on Saturday.
“That is the reason why we went in for Fabio Gama as a replacement.” the Kotoko CEO explained.
