Management Committee Chairman of the Ghana U20 side, Dr. Randy Abbey has congratulated the team following their triumph at the 2020 WAFU Zone B U-20 tournament in Benin.
The Black Satellites on Saturday, came from behind to beat Burkina Faso 2-1 in the final to win the trophy and to qualify for next year’s U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mauritania.
“I would like to commend my colleagues who were with the team, the technical team and the playing body as well, they discipline themselves and sure they focused on the ultimate” he said.
“I sent the voice notes everyday and they equally reply me and I think it went a long way to helping them chalk this feet.
We asure the players of getting them whatever due them at the right time”
Abbey also used the opportunity to discuss the program of the team as they turn attention to the U20 AFCON slated for Mauritania next year.
“The coaches are tasked to assemble the players on the 3rd of January because the tournament is on the 14th of February.
I’m sure the coaches are still monitoring and if they deem it fit to make any additions, it’s will be the right direction”
