The Black Satellites of Ghana on Friday held their last training session ahead of their epic WAFU U20 Championship final clash with the Young Stallions of Burkina Faso.
The session was supervised by head coach of the side Abdul Karim Zito who is recovering from malaria with all players taking part.
Defenders Nathaniel Adjei and Uzair Alhassan as well as striker Percious Boah had picked knocks from the last game Ghana played against Niger and couldn’t train when the side resumed training on Thursday.
All three, however, took part in the entire training session and will pass a late fitness test from the team doctors to ascertain their readiness for the game.
Ghana will be looking for a win over Burkina Faso, arguably the best team in the competition, to culminate their wonderful qualification to the U20 AFCON to be played in Mauritania next year.
The Black Satellites won their group opener over Nigeria by a lone goal and lost to Ivory Coast in their last group game to secure qualification to the semi finals.
A titanic clash between the Black Satellites and the counterpart from Niger saw the game climaxing into penalty shootouts after a goalless encounter after 120 minutes.
The Ghana U20 side won 5-3 in the shootouts to boot a place in the finals with Burkina Faso.
