The Ghana Football Association has been presented with a cheque of GH¢1,000,000 by the Ministry of Youth & Sports.

The amount is the first installment of a financial package released by the Ghana government to assist the 18 Ghana Premier League clubs for the 2020/21 season.

The donation which comes as a timely intervention is a way government is using to support clubs amidst the difficulties the Covid-19 pandemic has brought local clubs.

Earlier, the Ministry issued a statement confirming government’s intention to support clubs as FMIG earlier reported.
