Legon Cities will host Medeama SC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday in the matchday 3 of the Ghana Premeir League.

The Royals after stealing the headlines during the transfer window have failed to replicate that on the pitch following a disappointing start to the league campaign.

They will be hoping to register their first win of the season against Medeama who have also not had the best of start.

Medeama on the other hand have failed to live up to expectations after failing to win any of their two opening games.

A draw at home followed by a defeat to Dreams FC has put a lot of pressure on Samuel Boadu’s side who were tipped as favourite to win the title.

The Mauve and Yellow side will fancy their chances against the mega rich club who are currently in a disarray.

A win will be a morale booster for the club ahead of their crucial matchday four clash with fellow contenders Asante Kotoko.

Legon Cities after sacking their coach will be led by their assistant coach Wahid Mohammed for this game.

After missing the first two games of the campaign, headline signing Asamoah Gyan is likely to finally make an appearance for the club against Medeama.

Defender Nicholas Mensah has also been given the all clear and could feature for the club on Friday.

For Medeama, Samuel Boadu is still facing a lot of injuries in camp.

The Mauve and Yellows are without midfielder Kwasi Donsu who is out injured. It remains to be seen whether midfield sensation Rashid Nortey will be available for selection after recovering from an illness. He did not make the squad during the 2-1 defeat at Dreams FC despite traveling with the team due to the setback.

Left back Bright Enchil has also been ruled of the game but Ali Ouattara is back in the team.
