The signing of Asamoah Gyan has automatically catapulted Legon Cities as title contenders for the 2020/2021 Ghana Premeir League season.
Gyan signed a year deal with the club on the deadline day to complete a massive return to the Ghana Premeir league.

The club was relegation strugglers until their tumultuous campaign was helped permanently following the cancellation of the season due to Coronavirus.
Gyan is returning to the Ghana Premier League since featuring for Liberty Professionals in 2003.
He has gone on to play in French Ligue 1 and the Italian Serie A.
The 34 -year also made his mark in the English Premier League with Sunderland and dominated United Arab Emirates league with Al Ain winning league’s golden boot three times.
Gyan parted ways with Indian side NortEast United after just 6 months and has been at home since then.
His arrival automatically makes Legon Cities title contenders due to the qualities he posses.
Gyan could be the missing piece to help Cities become contenders in the League once again.
He is still great player and a potent scorer as he showed during his short spell in India.
Cities has the likes of Fatawu Dauda, Nicholas Mensah, Abdul Wahab Hannan and Jeffery Degorl at their disposal.
They have been able to secure the service of former Asante Kotoko playmaker Baba Mahama, Foster Braimah and Jonah Attuquaye both formerly of Berekum Chelsea and Nicholas Gyan who returned to the country from Simba United in Tanzania.
