Asante Kotoko are in far advanced talks with Ugandan Premier League top scorer Steven Mukwala to sign him.
The Porcupine Warriors are preparing for the upcoming season where they are set to compete in the domestic competitions as well as the CAF Champions league.
In an attempt to bolster his squad, Head Coach Maxwell Konadu is making some interesting additions.
Already Kotoko have captured the signatures midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh from Karela United, and former AshGold defender Mubarik Yusif on a free.
There are also reports about the likes of Latif Anabila and Justice Blay being in the pipeline while former Ghanaian Youth player Patrick Asmah is also close to joining.
Reports from the local media suggest the Porcupine Warriors are set to take their player pursuit mission abroad with the move for Mukwala.
Mukwala finished last season with 13 goals in 23 appearances for Maroons FC as he played on loan from Vipers FC.
Should the move for the 21 year old become successful, Mukwala will become the third Ugandan to play for Kotoko after Joseph Ochaya and George Abege.
