Asante Kotoko Head Coach Maxwell Konadu has provided updates on the future of two players, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Christopher Nettey.
The duo were not sighted during the club’s first training session ever since the greenlight was given for football to resume in the country after a 7-month coronavirus influenced hiatus.
Budding Right-Back Christopher Nettey joined Kotoko from the Attram de Visser Academy just before the start of last season and he flourished with the opportunities given him.
However, his continuous stay at the club was threatened as a revelation came out that Asante Kotoko were yet to honor payment of his transfer fee.
The 22 year old has since returned to his parent club pending a resolution of the situation at hand.
In the case of Agyemang Badu, his contract has run out with the club looking at triggering the option of agreeing a new deal with the versatile 24 year old defender.
Speaking at the club’s training grounds on Wednesday September 30, Maxwell Konadu said of Christopher Nettey’s situation.
“In the case of Christopher Nettey, the CEO is doing everything he can to bring the boy back to us”, Maxwell Konadu said.
The former Black Stars Coach also provided an update on Agyemang Badu’s situation. “Agyemang Badu’s contract expired, we are now making arrangement to re-engage him in renewal talks, the CEO is quite busy so we are looking forward to when he returns, we will sit down with the player,” Coach Konadu revealed.
