The father of Atlético Madrid and Ghana star Thomas Teye Partey has said that the midfielder will decide his next career move for himself.
The Black Stars ace has been heavily linked with a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano this summer with English giants Arsenal leading the race for his signature.
Dismissing claims that he heavily influences his son’s key decisions, Jacob Partey said his priority is to provide moral support for the 27-year-old.
Partey is a boyhood Gunners fan and has spoken publicly about his desire to play in England one day.
“Partey is grown enough, he is the vice-captain for the Black Stars, so I expect him to take the best decision” he told Koforidua based Bryt FM in an interview.
“I know a lot of clubs want to sign him but he should know what is best. He is now my father and i know that his decision will be the best”
“For now i cannot decide for him but i pray God leads him in whatever he does” he said.
