Frank Baumann, Sporting Director for Bundesliga side Werder Bremen is optimistic the loan transfer for Jonah Osabutey to OH Leuven will aid his development.
Osabutey was loaned out to the newly-promoted Belgian Jupiler Pro League side OH Leuven earlier this week after endin g his earlier loan spell in the same league.
It will be the second time the Ghanaian forward has been sent out on loan after spending last season at Royal Mouscron.
The former Ghana U20 forward scored 5 times and provided four assists in 22 games emerging the club’s Player of the Season.
According to Werder Bremen chief, Baumann, the switch could ignite the 21-year-old’s blossoming development following his success in the league last term.
“The loan to Leuven is a good solution,” said Werder sports director Frank Baumann in a club announcement. “Jonah has already developed well in Belgium last year . We hope that he can continue this positive path in the new team.
Osabutey joined Werder Bremen from Ghanaian side Tema Youth.
