The Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold SC, Emmanuel Frimpong has confirmed that the club will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The GFA chose AshGold and Asante Kotoko to be Ghana’s representatives in the CAF inter clubs competitions for next season.
As a result, Asante Kotoko will play in the Champions League, while AshGold features in the Confederation Cup.
To officially confirm their readiness for the tasks ahead, the GFA subsequently have written to the clubs seeking a response.
Speaking in an interview with GTV Sports+, Emmanuel Frimpong affirmed an earlier communicated stance and stressed the Obuasi based side is ready for the Africa campaign.
“We’re ready for the campaign as we have always said. We are not backing off. We are ready and we are going to Africa,” Frimpong told GTV Sports+
