Controversial football administrator Charles Kwadwo Ntim, popularly known as Micky Charles has been tamed following his attempt to secure a court injunction to stop the upcoming GFA Ordinary Congress slated for 1st September, 2020.
The GFA Ordinary Congress will, therefore, take place at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram on Tuesday.
Micky Charles through his club Techiman City FC had gone to an Accra High Court to apply for ex parte injunction without notice on the scheduled Ordinary Congress of the FA.
The contentious football administrator was however slapped in the face by the Ghana Football Association after he was outsmarted by the association’s counsel.
Counsel for the Ghana Football Association, Naa Odofoley Nortey outsmarted Techiman City in court and entered an appearance to the writ of summons.
Following the position of the GFA In entering the appearance, the Ordinary Congress of the association will proceed as planned.
The Zone One-based Division One club, Techiman City, will have to go back and enter the application unnoticed for the court to set a date for the ruling.
The court will, hence, set a date for hearing of the case if Techiman City enter the application unnoticed.
The controversial administrator was seeking to thwart the effort of the GFA in holding Congress which could have had telling effects on the start date of organised football in the country.
With Congress set to take place on Tuesday, it remains uncertain whether Techiman City will turn up for the exercise.
Already, Ghanaian clubs are geared up for the Congress following the arrival of part of the FIFA COVID-19 Relief Fund.
