Ghanaian striker Michael Sarpong scored his first goal on his debut for Tanzanian club  Young Africans as they beat Burundi outfit Aigle Noir on Sunday to celebrate Wiki Ya Mwananchi ‘Citizens Week’.

Young Africans beat the Burundian side Aigle Noir FC 2-0 at the packed Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam to cap off preparation ahead of the start of the new season.

Michael Sarpong who joined the club two weeks ago scored his side’s second of the day after Rosien Tuisila Kisinda had given the hosts the lead.

This an annual celebration by the Tanzanian giants where they unveil and present the new signings to their teeming fans ahead of a every season

Yanga took the opportunity to unveil their new head coach Zlatko Krmpotic from Serbia and their new signings including their goal heroes on the day Michael Sarpong and Tuisila Kisinda

The former Dreams FC forward joined Young Africans on a free transfer after parting ways with Rwandan side Rayon Sports in April.

Sarpong scored 16 goals to propel Rayon to clinch the Rwanda Premier League in the 2018/2019 season.
